Sea and Stars is a historical romance by Kelly Jarvis, with touches of fantasy throughout. It follows Arabella Porter, a lonely healer with otherworldly gifts, as she leaves the Isle of Skye for the seaport town of Mystic, Connecticut, searching for answers to family mysteries. There, she meets a shipbuilder with secrets of his own, and her purpose in Mystic, along with the questions surrounding her family and the town, begin to shift.

This illustration was guided by Kelly’s art direction, bringing her “Chandelier of Stars” moment to life beneath a luminous, swirling sky. The dancing couple are framed by winding roses and swirling silk. The composition draws on the story’s historical and romantic symbolism, emphasizing the characters' shared Celtic roots, longing, and transformation. The piece was created in Procreate and refined in Photoshop, with watercolor embellishments.
