My short story The Witch Hunt was published in the inaugural edition of The Otherworld Magazine, inspired by the Wild Hunt theme. The story draws on the superstition and suspicion of the European witch hunts to explore women’s rage, injustice, and the long memory of history. Why stop at the 1950s, when we can go all the way back to the 1550s, when women were burned at the stake for their sharp tongues or unsightly moles?

The illustration was created in Procreate and Photoshop. I focused on giving the central figure a strong sense of presence and identity, depicting her with a defiant smile and flames reflected in her eyes. The Witch Hunt is darker than my usual work, but it remains rooted in the same themes of subversion, magic, and feminine power.
