The Year of the Unicorn

I created The Year of the Unicorn as a personal emblem and an intention for the year ahead. In my family, we all carry mythical names, and mine is Unicorn, so this piece became a way of claiming something for myself. A year of growth, creativity, and a return to the kind of magic I want to be making and living with.

The design is inspired by the ornamental detail of Victorian and Edwardian book covers, with a focus on symmetry, linework, and a sense of something timeless.

The Year of the Unicorn is about belief. In beauty, in transformation, and in the idea that there is still something bright and meaningful out there waiting for all of us.

It was drawn in Procreate and finalized in Adobe Illustrator.
